Fiction:

Grades 6-8

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
The boy, Nobody, has been raised by gentle ghosts in a graveyard following his escape from his family’s murderer. What will happen when the murderer returns for him?

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
In Panem, winning the lottery changes the lives of 24 children each year, but not for the better. These girls and boys become contestants in The Hunger Games, a televised battle to the death.


Nonfiction:

Eminem : The Way I Am by Eminem
One of the most influential rappers of all time allows readers to gain insight into his life and his emotional struggles. The book is as raw and personal as his music.
