Tomie dePaola dies at 85

Tomie dePaola prolific children's author and illustrator passed away at 85.

His books ranged from autobiographical chapter books, boisterous picture books and tales derived from folklore and fairy tales. His 26 Fairmount series books about a boy growing up in the uncertain times of World war II may be apropos for the youth of today during the COVID 19 crisis.
